SELL

The path to monetization requires a thoughtful go-to-market strategy.  The two primary paths, both delivering success today to many, are a direct sales model and a channel partner (value added reseller) model. The Direct Sales model involves selling directly to the enterprise buyer.

 

Typically sold as annual subscriptions, data products / software offerings are intended to create recurring revenue businesses that build each year.  Another option is the Channel Partner model, and is an alternative vehicle to take data to market and sell on your behalf.  There could be compelling reasons to pursue this approach despite the impact to the economics.
